Dorrian Engineering is currently working with its client to design, build, test and install a new automatic "lift and tip" unit to be fitted to a new fleet of trucks. The unit is used to raise recycleable material to and upper deck of kerbside recycling unit.

If successful, the unit will become the new standard on our clients kerbside recycling fleet.

The design uses a customised scissor lift in conjunction with a lifting mast. The tipping mechanism is controlled by a customised cam, allowing the unit to tip 110deg once in the raise position, and which flips the unit back to the horizontal on the downward stroke.
